Evidence speaks for itself

Republican senators in Congress need to come to their senses and immediately impeach Donald Trump. There is now reliable firsthand evidence that Trump took actions to bribe and extort the President of Ukraine for Trump’s personal benefit. This is illegal use of federal funds.

These actions involved holding back about $400 million of approved U.S. military aid to be used by Ukraine to continue fighting Russia, an enemy of the United States. Trump told Ukraine’s president that this aid money would not be released to Ukraine until the new president of Ukraine personally announced on CNN, that Ukraine would investigate Trump’s political challenger for president, Joe Biden and also his family. This clearly violates the U.S. Constitution.

I make these statements having personally served in Hungary, Guatemala and Cambodia for the U.S. State Department while working in positions as a “non-partisan and non-political” engineer. Through these assignments, I personally learned why it is critically important that our overseas U.S. government work be focused on benefiting the interests of all U.S. citizens, not used for the political gain of one person.
