POTUS should be best among us

Let’s say Donald Trump is the best president ever. Let’s say Joe Biden is super corrupt, and Hillary Clinton is the anti-Christ, and let’s agree to any other excuse currently being given by the GOP for the behavior of our commander in chief.

Even if all of that is true, the president went on television and admitted that he asked a foreign nation to investigate an American citizen — a political rival no less. Can we just talk about that for a minute? In what world is that okay? I don’t care who that president is or which party he represents. I don’t care how much “good” he has done or how much he aligns with my political ideology. Asking a foreign government to investigate a political rival is wrong. Period. End stop.

Our president should be the very best among us. Is this the example we want to set, the standard we want to uphold? No person can be above the law or the law means nothing.
