Political litter

Why is it that candidates for office are allowed to litter our roadsides with their posters?

As they choose not to remove this rubbish, a private contractor should be hired to remove them all — the bill of $100 for each to be paid by the person depicted on the poster.

Freedom of speech, my foot. They are litter louts.
