What kind of leader inspires young men with denigrating insults?!

Many of us have made the effort to understand Coach Mike Leach’s way of communicating (Shawn Vestal column, Oct. 2), but this wipes out any credibility … no one should verbally assault another.

Inspire more effort, encourage, but never give the tirade he gave his team.

I apologize on the behalf of those of us who are ashamed. Much more could be said of this matter and probably will. Maybe Leach will apologize?
