Planned Parenthood’s carnage

In “Money crunch after Planned Parenthood quits (Title X) program” (Aug. 23), Planned Parenthood reported a lack of adequate funding for emergency contraception and birth control among other items related to what is termed “reproductive health care.” Nice euphemism for abortion, isn’t it?

I suppose the abortion business must not be paying off for Planned Parenthood. That must be why they were drumming up business at Hoopfest this past summer in the guise of concern for immigrants’ rights being denied by the presence of a booth for the Border Patrol. (“Border Patrol booth at Hoopfest raises concern,” Spokesman-Review, June 29.) According to Paul Dillon, a spokesman for Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and Idaho, activists and volunteers planned to attend Hoopfest to hand out “know your rights” cards.)

Also, in an opinion piece by Cal Thomas on July 2, he stated the horrific fact of 60 million deaths of babies since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision by the Supreme Court, and that “black women are more than five times as likely as white women to have an abortion.” Ah yes … that must be the source of the antipathy to foreign immigrants. But it couldn’t be racism, could it? When will the carnage stop?
