Feature Creature matters

Today when I was scrolling through The Spokesman-Review website, I saw a Feature Creature. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it is an article where the paper features an animal that is currently living in a shelter and needs a home. When I saw that article, I was reminded of my own dog.

My family dog, Lucy, was a spotlight pet on the news. My mother was watching the news, and we decided to go have a meet and greet at the pound.

We immediately knew that she was going to be great for us. That day, my mom, my dad and I took Lucy to her new home. I would just like to say that every time I see a Feature Creature, I vividly remember the excitement and happiness of that day. Thank you for taking the time to do things like Feature Creature. It does make a difference, and my family would have never even known of our beloved dog without people who took time to care for the animals in need.

Feature Creature will always be a great idea in my mind.
