Vote for experience

The race for mayor and council president is supposed to be nonpartisan but realistically it’s not.

Nadine Woodard for mayor and Cindy Wendle for council president have both raised large sums of money and endorsements from mostly wealthy Republican donors. They received large donations from the Washington Association of Realtors PAC. This money comes from realtors not only in Spokane but across the state.

If one looks at facts and listens to the debates you will see a dramatic difference in the experience and vision of Ben Stuckart and Breean Beggs. From the beginning Nadine has focused on the homeless issue and has offered little else in the way of how she would manage the second-largest city in Washington. I feel she uses this issue as a scare tactic. There is an issue downtown with homeless people that has grown worse over the past several years. Ironically our homeless situation has worsened under Mayor Condon (Republican).

There have been many positive accomplishments in downtown but the homeless problem is extremely complex. This isn’t the time to elect an inexperienced mayor and council president. National The Alliance to End Homelessness 2018 count showed Texas, Florida, District of Columbia, California and Hawaii with some of the largest population of homelessness.

Don’t focus on political affiliation, look at the resumes of Stuckart, Beggs, Woodard and Wendle. Beggs and Stuckart are highly qualified. Nadine Woodward’s and Cindy Wendle’s resumes lack any real qualifications to successfully lead Spokane forward. Stuckart and Beggs, vote for experience!
