Breean’s accomplishments

When Breean and I joined the City Council, cars speeding through residential neighborhoods were a big concern. Citizens rightly expressed the need for safe streets where their children could play outside, and they could walk their dogs without fear of being hit. We heard their concerns and knew that residents deserved a more targeted approach to traffic calming from their elected representatives. Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far:

Councilmember Beggs and I worked to designate High Drive as a Park Boulevard, allowing for lower speed limits when people are out enjoying trails on the Bluff in summer months.

Breean and I engaged the Rockwood community and helped implement traffic calming measures around Hutton Elementary.

We worked with the Lincoln Heights neighborhood to require new development to be compatible with existing streets while providing a bikeable, walkable environment.

Breean and I listened to the needs of the Comstock, Manito and Cannon Hill neighborhoods, finding money for a traffic study that will make traffic flow around 29th and Grand safer for shoppers and school children.

Breean listens to all sides. He has the experience, wisdom, and demeanor to build consensus on challenging issues.

We need Breean as our next City Council president.

Lori Kinnear, City Council Member, District 2
