Where are the leaders?

I speak from the outside looking in. I am a longtime, long-distance volunteer for the NIC Booster Club. I have been following the turmoil at NIC as the newspapers spin the situation and different persons write their impressions.

Around 2010 I volunteered to help at athletic functions. I drive from Walla Walla every chance I get to help at the events.

The good ole boys at the Northwest Athletic Conference, fuming over a new school coming into the ranks and knocking the socks off the competition. The NWAC solution: Discredit NIC in the press, and public opinion, take away their trophies.

I think I have the answer. A bunch of spoiled athletic directors and their staffs are jealous and envious of the Idaho team that took them to task, not one but two years in a row.

This note comes from a disenchanted member of the NIC Booster Club. My hope is this will be sorted out with guidance from a sufficient College Trustee Board. Again, I am most familiar with the athletic department and am proud to be a volunteer there.

The essence of real leaders at NIC lies in the presence of Athletics Director Al Williams and Coach Corey Symons. Again, I speak from the outside looking in!
