An unsightly greeting

As I was approaching the Division Street exit off I-90, I noticed lots of trash and weeds lining the roadside. I thought, What a terrible greeting for visitors to Spokane and its beautiful downtown. Weeds line the freeway from Sprague Avenue all the way to downtown. And trash is scattered along the freeway for miles.

This is no way to greet visitors to our city, especially in the summer. Has WSDOT lost its pride in keeping our roadways clean and weed free?
