Fairground screening

I would like to send thanks and appreciation to our local health care providers. Feeling poorly last weekend my wife and I traveled to the fairgrounds to get tested for COVID-19. I have to share what a very pleasant and positive experience it was.

Turning into the fairgrounds entrance, we were greeted at each turn by young people who smiled through their bodies while their faces were masked and waved us happily onward. It was not a gloom and doom beginning for which we were thankful.

When we reached the screening tent, two charming, positive and efficient nurses greeted us and took our information while we sat in the car. They quickly got the data they needed, took my temperature and vital signs, and happily told me that my symptoms were not those of COVID 19 and I didn’t need to be tested.

They, answered our questions thoroughly, made us feel good about checking, and sent us off with smiles, waves and a deep appreciation for the people who are serving us in this way.

May there be a special blessing to all those working so hard to take care of us. I felt like our Spokane response to this difficult time was right on. You are the best.
