We’re human; we reuse

In response to Marlene Larson’s letter, requesting that people leave their recycled bags at home, I am just wondering what her solution would be? Since the reusable bags were intended to help save our planet, and since plastic bags do harm to same planet (and will soon be banned anyway!), I just wondered how she is getting her groceries home?

Once plastic is completely banned, I’m sure stores will be charging for paper bags, and human beings, being human, will almost inevitably RE-USE those until they are no longer usable, so what is the difference?

Keep re-using your reusable bags, and simply sanitize and/or wash them when you get home. Common sense … but that seems to be in as short a supply as toilet paper!
