Students’ lives disrupted

COVID-19 has had a huge effect on high school students. Sports being canceled, testing no longer happening, and the so-called best days of your life have been cut short.

Seniors who play sports didn’t get to have their last season on the field with their friends. Also, juniors now have less time to get noticed or signed by college teams. State testing and other tests like the SAT have been canceled due to COVID-19, causing students to not be able to take tests that colleges look at for enrollment.

Prom, graduation, and the last semester of memories has been abolished for seniors all over the United States. COVID-19 has made what high school students look forward to, worked hard for, stayed in school for, not an option anymore. Imagine your graduation happening over a screen and your diploma that you worked hard for being sent over the mail.

COVID-19 has a ginormous effect on high school students.
