A welcome story

I want to thank the Spokesman-Review for the well-written three-part series on Coach Kevin Smith and Washington State basketball concerning his first year as head coach. Hearing from players’ reactions, like Pollard and Ellerby, when the PAC12 tournament was canceled, was heartbreaking yet insightful.

When we are self-isolating, stories like these, for those who follow all sports, when all live games and competitions are suspended, are very welcome.

By the way, I agree with Pollard and Ellerby: we would have beaten Arizona State in the second round of the PAC12 tourney.
