Share the blame
And the blame game continues. Governors from across our nation blaming everyone in the federal government for their action in this most recent pandemic.
During the swine flu, 200,000 citizens and 1,000 deaths were reported before a national emergency was declared. It was then that all 50 governors should have stockpiled all necessary equipment, as should all hospitals.
We always wait until a disaster strikes, then blame the feds. When the federal government tries to impose a federal law, e.g., magazines for long guns, the states yell “states’ rights.” The states all fail to follow through, too many times.
The virus is a true menace to all – when it’s all said and done, all states must prepare for the next pandemic. (There will be one.)
States cannot have it both ways. States’ rights are vital to our republic. Don’t blame Washington, D.C., for this tragic episode: the states’ hospitals share the blame.
