Slowing our roll

Permanently slowing traffic in certain areas, No!

Most residents of Spokane do not need “helicopter” city leaders or city council members.

In Fridays’s paper April, the 10th a city council member suggested that traffic be permanently slowed down in certain ares of the city.

Spokane is a growing city, we should abandon the idea of “road diets” and of slowing down traffic. In fact, I propose we gradually increase the speed limit, everywhere. We should post new signs saying “Watch out! Fast-moving traffic.”

We don’t need city leaders holding our hands; we need ways to get on the other side of town faster.
