A silver lining?

I am not “Pollyanna.” I am sad for all those high school seniors who lost out on their year. Hopefully, they can laugh and focus on what’s next, now. Younger students also had their school lives turned upside-down, but teachers are finding ways to help them through it. (Thanks, Mrs. Porter)

No doubt many families are struggling with serious financial burdens. Hopefully, systems are in place to help. And there seems to be some “silver” in the middle of this pandemic storm. One of the fears going into this was increased spousal abuse. That seems to have NOT happened. Overall, crime is down. And so is road rage - and pollution!

There are so many videos of dads playing with their kids and just doing creative things that they had never done before. It fills the heart. Churches are streaming their services, now, and getting GOOD at it. Weight Watchers meetings on Zoom are (almost) fun. (LOL)

Recently, we used Zoom for a special birthday and brought all the sisters (even the one on the East Coast) into the party. They stayed on for over 1-1/2 hours and said they hadn’t all been together like that in 3 years!

No, it cannot stay this way. We need to get back to work. The world needs to get back to work. But, hopefully, we are learning important things that we can all keep and use as we move out of the virus. I sure hope so. Stay well.
