Sad breaking news

The announcement about suspending Saturdays’ print edition actually made me teary-eyed.

When I shook off the disappointment, I thought about my carrier. She is wonderful. She tosses the paper right to the garage door. I don’t have to go outside when it’s snowy. I raise the door a few inches and grab my paper without having to change out of my pj’s.

This week I went online and paid my bill a little early and added a very generous tip. If those who are able to do this will do likewise, the loss of income for carriers may not be so drastic.
