Insure the police

Millions of taxpayer dollars are paid out to settle wrongful conduct and/or death claims from police budget. Just like doctors must have malpractice insurance, I propose that police also carry liability insurance individually.

Why should the public continue to pay for the wrongdoing of the so-called professionals. Money better spent on the solutions not the problem. Police are supposed to catch the criminals and let the courts do their job. It was not intended that they play judge, jury and executioner!
