Ignoring the experts

The recent spike in COVID infections and deaths locally is due, in part, to the efforts of the mayor and county commissioners to move to Phase 3.

They caught a bit of the Trump-Corona and were discounting the governor and Dr. Lutz’s warnings and pushing hard for an upgrade. People picked up on this to the point of some radicals even picketing Dr. Lutz’s home (bizarre!) demanding we open up — and the result was many more infections, hospitalizations, deaths and some pullbacks.

Now we have the sheriff from “Mayberry” who wants to be governor because, I guess, he can make the state like “Mayberry” — no Chinese virus, no masks, no social distancing, no crime. It used to be “a chicken in every pot” — much more palatable!

If we don’t follow the advice of the scientific experts, we will lose this war with this virus!
