Citizenship

In the U.S. prospective citizens are told they have to give up their citizenship from their native country. Many other countries allow dual citizenship.

From reading various news outlets, the current Mrs Trump should not have been allowed U.S citizenship as she worked while here on a visitor visa. That is a given deportation issue.

Be that as it may, apparently Mrs Trump has been allowed dual citizenship, and this has also been given to her son, Barron - a native born American. How does this citizenship thing work - do you have to be “connected” to get special treatment above the law? I’m sure thousands of legal immigrants would love to know the details.
