The danger of masks
The subject of masking up is becoming hotter by the day.
While N-95 masks are excellent, they are one-time use only. The material becomes saturated with respiratory particles that will eventually become toxic as person continues to breathe through it. That’s why they are thrown away after each use. I have worked in the medical field for 25 years and both my wife and daughter are nurses. We wear masks when in contact with people who are sick and throw them in secured trash bags when done.
Currently, there are no definitive studies proving the effectiveness of wearing a cloth mask for anything. All studies eventually conclude that masks may or may not help but “just to be safe” you should wear one. COVID,-19 and all other viruses, are too small. The particles penetrate or simply move around the mask. And, the combination of rebreathing your own exhaled air that is already filled with bacteria and concentrated COVID-19, influenza, TB or some other contaminant only contributes to increased risk of infection and illness. Long-term mask usage also depresses the immune system through minimizing its normal exposure to contaminants.
In essence, we are weakening our immune system by wearing a mask when we don’t need to. The moment our body is faced with a serious issue, such as COVID-19, it is not prepared, and the expected result occurs. People become sicker and more people will die as a result of long-term mask usage.
