Gratitude

In the spirit of giving thanks …

To the exhausted health care and front-line workers who continue to work tirelessly on our behalf. Thank you. To the journalists who search for truth amid the lies and distortions to keep us informed. Thank you.

To our incredible Founding Fathers who, lucky for us, converged at a critical time to forge a democratic system of government that has survived more than 200 years in the face of assaults. Thank you.

To the elected officials who have demonstrated integrity and courage during this disruptive time. Thank you.

To the employees and business owners who have suffered and who have come to work sometimes in peril of their own health to provide us services. Thank you.

To the teachers and parents who have struggled with on line learning to provide education to children. Thank you.

To those who for the greater good take precautions to protect others and themselves from the virus. Thank you.

To the millions of voters who carefully prepared their ballots for mailing on time or who remarkably stood in long lines to cast their votes often in the face of voter suppression. Thank you.

To all others who have shown kindness to friends, family, and often strangers during these difficult times. Thank you.

You give us hope and we thank you.
