5th District deserves better

Cathy McMorris Rodgers claims it is “her mission to restore trust and confidence in representative government and the rule of law…,” but her support of Texas’ lawsuit to dismiss election results in key battleground states has damaged that trust.

Worse yet, her backing of this bogus lawsuit, especially when there has been no evidence of widespread election fraud, is a direct attack on democracy. McMorris Rodgers says that the Texas lawsuit is about the Supreme Court answering people’s questions regarding the election and its results when it is really about overturning Biden’s presidential win.

McMorris Rodgers and her GOP cronies, who refuse to accept that Biden won the election, are eroding the fundamental democratic principle of free and fair elections. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, your constituents of Washington’s 5th Congressional District deserve better than that.
