Time to move on

As this election drags on well beyond what it should have, I can’t help but be reminded of Groundhog Day. However, in this dysfunctional reality someone can win by more than 8 million popular votes and what the previous guy said was a landslide margin in the Electoral College and can somehow not be considered the winner.

We continue to hear the same song play not on the radio, but social media every morning. Instead of “put your little hand in mine” we hear “fraud … I won … there is no way Biden got more votes than me … fraud …” the list of intrepid ramblings goes on and on.

I only hope that tomorrow we will wake up with a different tune and what many will consider throughout history as the worst president the country has ever known, realizing he is right … 80 million people didn’t vote for Biden. A vast number of them voted against the Donald and the continuous lies, slander, name-calling and outright nastiness.

By morning I do hope that the tune will have changed into one of cooperation so that a more seamless transition starts to happen to secure our country and start actually attacking the pandemic like Americans.
