The question asked
What if the whistle-blower did not speak out?
Witnesses’ recording of events: Giuliani was representing the president in Ukraine early on. Ambassador Yovanovich, working to eradicate corruption in Ukraine, caused problems for Giuliani, so Trump recalled her. Putin said some Ukrainian server was the source of [Russian] election meddling. Zelensky was elected in Ukraine on an anti-corruption platform. The new Ukraine president sought validation and a show of support from the U.S. president. Biden dominated the Democratic nomination polls.
Out of the blue, Trump called Zelensky. He referred to Giuliani’s messages, of which the Ukrainians were aware. He asked that a Ukraine server be acknowledged for interference in U.S. elections, and for Zelensky to announce an investigation into Hunter Biden. Within 36 hours Trump called Putin. Trump withheld $400,000,000 in assistance.
Let’s put logic into these sequences. Giuliani, who does no personal legal work for Trump, is now in Manafort’s position as the link between the Trump campaign and Russia. Russia, after exposure for its interference in 2016’s election, needed a new IP address as a base for 2020 interference — Ukraine! It would be a diversion from Russia, and — importantly — authenticate the trashing of Biden by associating the (supposed) investigation by Ukrainian authorities. After disgracing Biden by the Ukraine-sourced false propaganda, it’s only a matter of bringing down Sanders and Warren as socialists and Mayor Pete as gay. Russia would help Trump get re-elected.
But Zelensky balked. By withholding the $400,000,000, Trump tightened the screws on Zelensky. Because of the whistle-blower, we now know this. However, the Senate has now OK’d this activity.
