Thoughts on the stadium

Add Spokesman-Review on Google

I would like express my voting on Joe Albi stadium.

At first I thought it might be a good idea to have it closer to downtown, but then I read the article about the school board wanting to put the measure on a ballot to get the opinion of the public. Then Walt Worthy erupted at the board and asked them why they thought he spent a few million dollars to buy a motel across the river closer to the new stadium. I was immediately impressed with the board that they had the hair to stand up to poor rich Walt.

If I may also comment on the lack of parking around the new stadium: If some organization puts up a parking garage for the stadium they do so with complete knowledge they will never be able to charge for parking for any and all high school events since public school money will be involved in building the stadium and presumably the parking garage.
