Albi the perfect location

Here we go again with the push for a downtown location for a new stadium.

Why can’t our “leaders” accept the fact that a downtown location would be a huge mess? Albi is the perfect location with access from Francis Avenue, Wellsley and Northwest Boulevard all leading there with acres of parking. A downtown location would conflict with the arena and everything else in that area. Where would you park if there were events at the arena on the same dates?

The good old boys thought of that when they donated the land and raised the money to build “Spokane Veterans Memorial Stadium” in the late 1940s/early ‘50s. I have a love of Albi from exploring the areas as a child, going to rodeos and high school as well as college football games and later making a career working there as well as the coliseum and arena.

Please keep Albi for the next generation!
