Downtown stadium

I am all for building the stadium downtown, and I think there would be much more support for it, as long as it is NOT built on the Arena’s parking lot. Parking is scarce as it is, and it would be unacceptable to take out several hundred slots. Also, the Arena area would be too congested.

There are plenty of run-down areas in and around the downtown that could be razed and a new stadium built.

A stadium with 5,000 seats, used mostly for high school sports, is NOT thinking of the future. A minimum of 7,500 seats for concerts and other venues would be a great new addition to the downtown., as long as the street system is upgraded to handle traffic.

Go back to the drawing board and offer the people of Spokane something better, and something we can be proud of if built downtown. Otherwise, go forward with a rinky-dink stadium to replace Albi for high school sports.
