The best candidate

I loathe and detest Donald Trump and how he has demeaned and shamed the office of president of the United State of America, and lowered our standing in the world community.

That said, I turn to the Democratic Party for someone who can beat Trump in the 2020 election. What I find are a number of characters dissing on each other, espousing nonsensical ideas for our future, and in general behaving like an unruly bunch of kindergartners: the US doesn’t want socialism so Sanders is not viable; Elizabeth Warren offers lots of ideas but no specifics, and doesn’t show much dynamism; Biden seems a little out of touch lately; Buttigieg, although seeming to have good ideas and delivery of them, is gay. Right or wrong, a gay candidate for POTUS will not win at this time in our country.

Sooooo, to me, that leaves one person who has a decent of chance of winning the election: Michael Bloomberg. He is not a Washington insider pol, doesn’t owe any favors to anyone, can stand up to Trump and his bullying, and has his own money to finance his candidacy. If the rest of the Democratic POTUS wannabees were to keep the big picture in mind — that of defeating Trump — Bloomberg has a good chance.
