Parties weakening branches

Since the recent House of Representatives vote on presidential impeachment, I realized just how vindictiveness rules. 229 representatives of the House put aside their conscience and voted impeachment.

The United States of America is not a perfect republic, nor are its leaders. Who of us is flawless? I am reminded throughout this process what Jesus had proclaimed: “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”.

President Donald Trump has peculiarities, as do we all. Trump has been despised by the opposition Democratic Party since he announced his desire to run for president in 2015. Then-candidate Trump recognized the wrong path that the United States was headed on and convinced Americans that he could do better.

Former President Obama gave two state dinners and two 21-gun salutes to our Chinese adversary, Xi Jinping. President Trump sees Xi differently and has confronted him on Chinese bad behavior successfully.

Our first president, Gen. George Washington, warned the people that political parties may prevent the branches of government from properly functioning. Hurray for President George.

Like Washington, I believe that our nation would be better served without political parties, now and forever.

“Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?”
