Goodwill toward one another

On Christmas night two thousand years ago, when the angels announced Jesus’s birth, one of their messages was, “Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.”

On the night before Jesus was crucified, in His farewell speech to His disciples, He told them that the world would know that they were His disciples if they loved each other. We need that advice now more than ever.

Jesus also says in Luke 14:11, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” Does anyone know how we can get this message to our government leaders, including President Trump?

Let’s all take this advice and try to love each other. It is easy to get irritated at the smallest things, toot our car horn if someone pulls out in front of us, and things like that, instead of being glad to help someone out by letting them get in front of us.

It would be good if our government leaders would set the example on how to treat each other with love and compassion. We should all pray for our government officials and each other that we could have godly goodwill toward each other.
