RedForEd politically troublesome

There is a growing movement of public school teachers with the name RedForEd. This organization is troublesome to me in a couple of different ways. First, they have organized to defeat President Trump in the 2020 election. Second, the color of their uniforms (red), the name of their organization, and the leftward lean of their politics hints of a communist-like connection. There is no denying the similarities.

To me, any public school employees funded by my and your tax dollars should not be political and should not favor any candidate, or cause. This is a case where tax dollars are being used to oppose the beliefs of a large segment of Americans who expect only unbiased and equal treatment.

I do not want my tax dollars used against me. Accordingly, public school personnel should never express a political bias. That is not their job. Their job is to teach skills and protect the students under their supervision. It is never a teacher’s job to push a political agenda, and this practice must stop.
