No war with Iran

I do not support a war/proxy war with Iran and I cannot support giving more money to the DOD: $2 trillion, seriously? Yet many legislators keep saying affordable health care and housing assistance aren’t doable. If there is that much taxpayer money for defense, all of my elected officials — Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray and Rep. McMorris Rodgers — need to give some of those dollars back to the taxpayers.

Right now the killing of Soleimani is looking bad both here and internationally and our president is threatening war crimes and giving Republican Congress members their marching orders through social media, specifically Twitter. This has gone too far. I expect Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray and Rep. McMorris Rodgers to do everything they can to prevent this dominionist war with Iran and end our other endless wars.

The House and Senate need to vote yes on the resolutions being introduced that will mandate that military hostilities with Iran cease within 30 days unless further congressional authorization like a declaration of war is taken.

It is my sincerest hope that the Senate will resolve to have a full and fair impeachment trial, with witnesses and documentation. We need to remember this country is too big to be managed with libertarian values (it’s a nice thought but it isn’t workable and it’s pitting citizens against one another). Exactly what can this POTUS do that will make my elected officials stand up and say “Enough!”? My family and I are already there.
