School lunches

I was the PTA lady on lunch duty when my kids were in 4th and 5th grades. IF THEY DON’T LIKE IT THEY WONT EAT IT. Almost all jello, red, green and orange even with fruit in it were dumped in the trash. Why not give them a sandwich, peanut butter and jam or baloney and cheese if they don’t eat PB&J?

Get real about what kids like. Many kids brought goodies from home and traded amongst themselves. Nutrition for kids should be for the parents to decide and send it with the kid. Here is a tip on fruit: most kids don’t like to bite into whole apples or peel oranges. They make good throwing at each other tho.
