A dangerous, wasteful idea

I was saddened, shocked and incensed by the news that our local leaders are vying for the very questionable accomplishment of becoming the command headquarters for the ill-advised, hare-brained and dangerous Space Force.

This is one more terrible idea of our nation’s leader, creating a military zone in space which should be limited to scientific research, not military might. It is a signal to other countries to do the same, and it escalates the probability of war. Once more billions are to be spent by our country in anticipation of war, while we cannot afford free college tuition, basic changes to stop global warming, health care for all, and lifting all of our people out of poverty.

It is shameful, and our leaders should not want to be a part of it
