Tear down the Chancery

To the many victims of the Catholic Church in Eastern Washington, the demise of the Chancery building would be welcome as this was where the Church declared bankruptcy rather than pay their victims.

It was a reminder that the Church was first and foremost a business when it came to addressing its sins. During negotiations, the Church’s vicar general told how as a young priest he spent time at the Chancery burning “sensitive” documents for the bishop.

Just let it be demolished.
