Dave Wilson for Congress

On Friday, July 1, 2016, I chanced to meet congressional candidate Dave Wilson on Main Street in Walla Walla. Being a newly retired health care administrator, my eye caught a reference to Critical Access Hospitals in his campaign brochure. I was pleasantly surprised when he accepted my request to meet over coffee later that afternoon to talk about rural health care in particular and his campaign in general. That meeting eventuated into a deep friendship that is now over four years in the making.

What I observed then, and continue to experience, is that Dave communicates as much by listening as by speaking; that he seeks out ideas and knowledge that others own; that he genuinely wants feedback on his own thoughts and proposals; that he is both fiscally and socially responsible; that he is gifted in getting people with disparate interests to work collaboratively for the betterment of those they serve; and that, without fail, he puts human interests above political agendas.

Dave Wilson demonstrates the depth of character and skill in servant leadership that will, in my opinion, best serve the people of Washington’s 5th congressional district. I am proud to support him.
