Politically correct names

It’s a pleasure to see the school board and the school administration looking at the renaming of the schools all in the name of political correctness.

The schools take up 52 percent of our tax dollars excluding additional levies passed by the voters, they are facing deficits, trying to figure out ways to educate students in the current environment, and many more pressing problems.

Think about 52 percent of your tax dollars dedicated to just over 17 percent of the residents of the city.

The simple solution which will not offend any group is to follow the example of many cities and rename the schools SPS1 (Spokane Public School 1: etc) thru whatever.

Now don’t you feel better? Maybe the city and county will follow suit and rename all the buildings and streets with numbers.
