Dave Wilson for Congress

Dave Wilson is running for the Democratic nomination as our representative in the United States House of Representatives for the 5th Congressional District. I strongly endorse Dave. I have grown tired of the regular candidates from both parties whose allegiance seems to reflect their party’s national stance rather than what is needed for our district. This district needs an independent-minded candidate and Dave will meet that need.

I met Dave in 2014 when he ran for Congress as an Independent candidate. When he was unsuccessful, he did not give up. His commitment to the 5th District was strong and he felt that changes in how our district was represented were needed. Dave looked at both parties and while neither offered a perfect fit, he felt that a more local-oriented vision was reflected in the Democratic Party. Dave Wilson will not sacrifice our district’s needs for the party’s position if it does not support the needs of the 5th District.

We have all seen how dysfunctional our federal government has become. Citizens who are honest, independent, fair and hardworking are the answer - that’s Dave. The ultimate compliment is that if Dave Wilson ran as a Republican, I would still support him. Let’s try something different this time, support Dave Wilson as “our” congressman in both the primary and general elections.
