100,000 friends and neighbors

We’re at over 100,000 COVID 19 deaths in the USA. A month or so ago this was an unforeseen and unimaginable number of deaths. This pandemic is becoming closer to almost 2x the number of U.S. military personnel killed in the Vietnam War (roughly 58,220, depending on your source) and more than 20x the number of military deaths in our War now. If the general public really has been so outraged on those two issues, then why are so many now in such defiance of policies and measures designed to actually help protect and save their own lives and others?

The “I want what I want, when I want it now” attitude, combined with a who’s going to stop me….. are childish acts. How unreal, get over yourself: Wear a mask, keep your distance and do what the smarter than you educated health officials are telling you. Believe it or not, it’s good for you, your neighbor, and others around you whether you like it or not, and even more so because over 100,000 of your friends and neighbors have died!

I’m sorry, but I and many others are tired of how the few act. Quite honestly, they don’t respect, deserve, or actually seem to value the very freedoms that have been handed to and preserved for them when being so self-centered.

The phrase in Spokane is: We’re All in this Together, so Get with the Program; it’s for your own good and benefit. A few folks out there need to wake up, smell the coffee, and get over your selfishness. Just for once, do what is best for everyone; not just yourself.
