A random act of kindness
As we pulled up to the Spokane Valley Trent Avenue Zip’s take-out window on Friday, we had our money ready. The employee then told us that the car in front of us had paid for our lunch. The car was gone so we didn’t have a chance to thank them. How very touching their act of kindness was.
In this world in a pandemic and filled with hurt, this stranger did not care about how we voted, our religious affiliation, and with our dirty windshield may not have even seen our gender. This stranger did not know that his gift was particularly special to my 89-year-old mom in the car with me who had just moved across the country to Spokane.
Thank you stranger for illustrating so well the generous spirit of the people of Spokane. We will pass it forward.
