The problem with America

Daniel Peterson”s letter of May 27th (“A change for the better”) brought up an interesting point. Did God send the pandemic to expose the incompetence of President Trump? I don”t think so. But I wonder, does God bring wrath upon a nation or does the undisciplined freedom and liberty of a nation bring wrath upon itself?

The public interest requires that peaceful demonstrators have a forum to speak their mind. Rioters and looters are criminals like cops that kill innocence and politicians and white collars that kill by omission, self serve, deceive, defraud, cover up, abandon duty and bribe and take bribes as gratuity.

Our nation is condemned because we lack concern and enthusiasm for the equal application and protection of our jurisprudence. The president, the Senate majority and the House minority have a sinister and perverse kingdom, power and glory of their own because we fail to hit the streets often enough and hold their feet to the fire of transparency.

Our nation is no longer a bright beacon upon a hill; it is a political and avarice house of cards on drifting sand when it should be a messiah house of refuge, humility, equality and love for one another upon a rock.
