Music City’s pride

I thoroughly enjoyed your article about Spokane’s family-owned music stores (“Family-owned shops keep city sounding good,” Feb. 15), but was very disappointed to not be a part of it.

Music City has been Spokane’s family-owned piano store since 1962. We are three generations strong with my father (58 years), myself (37 years), and my daughter (8 years) all active in the business. We even have a father/daughter employee team who have been here over 50/20 years respectively!

Our showroom and music school has been located at 1322 N. Monroe St. since 2004, and before that we spent a few decades at First and Monroe downtown. We are proud to have brought music into the lives of thousands of people and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
