A simple I-90 fix
A simple, inexpensive fix for the U.S. 195 to Interstate 90 on-ramp would be to install concrete barriers some distance west of the ramp (uphill I-90), merging downhill traffic into the next lane left of the outside lane, and continue the barriers for a distance past the on ramp in which merging traffic from U.S. 195 can safely attain freeway speeds.
Sure, there’s going to be considerable traffic at certain times, but the merge from northbound U.S. 195 onto eastbound I-90 will be more fluid, and safe, which is my main motivation to have written this missive.
Please send my consultation fee to the Spokesman-Review; they’ll be sure I receive my due compensation. Ha!
