A random act of kindness
Last Sunday my wife and I went to dinner at The Cedars restaurant in Coeur d’Alene to celebrate our 57th wedding anniversary.
It was really busy when we arrived and among those folks waiting for their tables was a younger couple seated just inside the door. When we came in he stood so the both of us could sit down while we waited. My wife got to talking with the lady and it came out that we were celebrating our 57th anniversary. They said “wow, that’s really great”.
They ended up seated at the table next to ours and when they left they wished us happy anniversary. Then, when it came time to pay our bill we were told that nice couple next to us paid $57.00 of our bill, one dollar for each year we were married.
Well I have to tell you my wife and I were almost overcome with emotion, to think someone we didn’t even know would do that for us. And we didn’t even get to tell them thanks because they left earlier. Well folks, we may not know who you are, but we do know you are very kind and generous and we thank you very much.
