The importance of experts

A BIG thank you to Dr. Bob Lutz and the entire staff at the Spokane Regional Health District for their tireless work, patience and expertise as our community grapples with the Covid-19 virus. Also, thank you to Governor Inslee for your leadership and willingness to make tough, protective decisions for the good of all Washingtonians.

This is a reminder of how important science, experts and professionals are. Public health is something we take for granted until we have a crisis. Please continue to support and fund these programs and services. Our collective health and safety really do depend on them.

Lastly, thank you to the good people of Spokane County who are extending kindness and being helpful. It’s heartening to see people care about each other and the common good. I am sincerely grateful.
