Calm down, everyone

I just had to comment on the piece about the couple who made a huge profit from reselling wipes.

I have overheard many discussing how despicable it is when people exploit the current situation and purchase products in demand in bulk just to make a profit. If the goods people are buying in desperation were much-needed medications or items required for survival, I would agree it’s ethically wrong, but they aren’t!!

Everyone needs to calm down; this is the most exaggerated “threat” I’ve ever seen that’s being fueled by the media. Compared to the Hong Kong flu in 1968 that caused over a million deaths, this is nothing. There were no closures or panic and humanity managed to survive.

All this hysteria is man-made and will only result in a collapse of our economy. Get a grip, people.
