We will become better

Today our president proved once again he is incapable of leadership. When things do not go his way he blames the press and shrinks from personal responsibility. Our country needs inspiration, not boasting and blaming.

Living near the Palouse Country, one of the the planet’s best places to grow wheat, I have pondered the power of a kernel of wheat. A small little seed that when planted reproduces itself 50-fold. It is one of the many miracles that makes up our planet. Yet, the virus shares this same miracle of reproduction, only too much. If we are to have hope it is because all around us this miracle of life continues.

Many people believe that this country is exceptional. We are different. We are special. Some go so far as to say that we are blessed by Divine Providence. This current challenge is a chance not just to claim we are exceptional, but to prove it. We can emerge from this stronger, smarter and healthier. We will become better people and a better nation.
