Save our parks

Spokane parks face large budget cuts. Nearly a million-dollar budget cut will leave the Spokane parks handicapped.

Parks provide so much more than just a place to play or walk. They provide better quality of living and boost happiness assessments that will drive local commerce and business. In addition to undoubtedly making a healthier economy for Spokane.

As a kid, I loved going to the parks, and now as a golfer, have come to know and love the Spokane parks and golf courses. With a reduced budget, I have witnessed the greens fees for the golf courses going up dissuading new players from trying it out for the first time. More money for the parks department budget will also fuel new parks, update the current ones, and maintain these loved Spokane places for children and adults to enjoy the outdoors for generations to come.
